Cookies and tracking technologies

We use Cookies and similar technologies, such as beacons, tags and scripts, to track activity on the Service, to store certain information and to improve and analyse the Service.

  • Browser Cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on your Device. You can set your browser to refuse all Cookies or to tell you when one is being sent. If you refuse Cookies, some parts of the Service may not work.
  • Web beacons. Some pages of the Service and some of our emails may contain small electronic files (also called clear gifs, pixel tags or single-pixel gifs) that let us, for example, count the users who visited a page or opened an email, and gather related statistics.

We use both session and persistent Cookies, for these purposes:

  • Necessary cookies (session cookies, set by us). These are essential to provide the services available on the Website and to let you use its features. They help authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of accounts.
  • Notice acceptance cookies (persistent cookies, set by us). These record whether you have accepted the use of cookies on the Website.
  • Functionality cookies (persistent cookies, set by us). These remember choices you make, such as your login details or language preference, so you do not have to enter them again on each visit.

  • With your consent, for any other purpose.

How long we keep your data

We keep your Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, and as far as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements and policies.

We also keep Usage Data for internal analysis. It is generally kept for a shorter time, except where it is used to strengthen security or improve the Service, or where the law requires us to keep it longer.

Transfer of your data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at our operating offices and in any other place where the parties involved in the processing are located. It may therefore be transferred to, and kept on, computers outside your state, province or country, where data protection laws may differ from yours.

By agreeing to this Privacy Policy and submitting your information, you agree to that transfer. We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in line with this Privacy Policy, and we do not transfer your Personal Data to an organisation or country unless adequate controls are in place.

No warranty

CertsEducation makes no warranty that the site will meet your needs, that it will be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free basis, or that the results obtained from using the site or its services will be accurate or reliable. If you are a parent or guardian and you know that your child has given us Personal Data, please contact us. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under 13 without verified parental consent, we take steps to remove it from our servers.

If we need to rely on consent as the legal basis for processing your information and your country requires a parent’s consent, we may ask for your parent’s consent before we collect and use that information.

Links to other websites

Our Service may contain links to websites that we do not operate. If you click a third-party link you will be taken to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of third-party sites or services.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page, update the “Last updated” date at the top, and let you know by email and/or a prominent notice on the Service before the change takes effect. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page, so please review this page periodically.
